Managing software license allocations

If you want to refresh or retire an IT asset, use the Manage Software License Allocations action to remove software license allocations from the asset before you retire it or reassign it. You can remove one or more software license allocations.

1. In the record list of the Assets application, display the IT asset with the software license allocation or allocations that you want to remove.
2. Select the Manage Software License Allocations action.
3. In the Manage Software License Allocations window, select the check box for the license allocations that you want to remove from the selected asset.
4. To trigger automation, select the Automation check box.
5. Click Remove.
