Granting access to asset relationship functions

Signature options, which are defined in the Security Groups application, are used to control access to functions in applications. By using signature options, you can grant access to specific groups of users. In the Assets application, the ability to create asset relationships and view relationship history is controlled by signature options.

1. In the List tab of the Security Groups application, select the group to be granted access to the relationship functions. For example, the MAXEVERYONE group is for all Maximo® users.
2. Under the Applications tab, in the Description column, click Assets.
3. Scroll down to the third panel, listing Assets application functions, then navigate to the Relationships Tab line. To allow access to this function, click the Grant Access check box for each function name and Save
4. Navigate to the View Asset Relationship History line. To allow access to this function, click the Grant Access check box for each function name and Save
5. Navigate to the Topology Viewer Presentation line. To allow access to this function, click the Grant Access check box for each function name and Save
