Associating hazardous materials with assets

You use the Assets application to add hazardous materials to asset records and to location records. When you build safety plans in the Safety Plan application and then use those safety plans in work orders, the hazardous materials associated with specific assets and locations are included on the work order.

Procedure

  1. From the Assets application, display the asset record with which you want to associate hazardous material.
  2. On the Safety tab, click the Hazardous Materials sub tab.
  3. Under the Hazardous Materials table window, click New Row.
  4. In the Hazard field, type a value. If the hazard you select has precautions associated with it, the precautions display in the Precautions table window. The Precautions table window is read-only.
  5. Click Save Asset.
