You use the Assets application to apply an item assembly
structure to a rotating asset or to an operating location.
About this task
When you apply an item assembly structure with rotating and
non-rotating items to an asset record, the non-rotating items are
shown on the Spare Parts tab of the asset record.
If a rotating item in an item assembly structure has child items,
the child items are applied to the selected asset or to the location
record. As a result, the child items do not have their own inventory
balance.
Procedure
- From the Assets application, display the asset to which
you want to apply an item assembly structure.
- Select the Apply Item Assembly Structure action.
- You can either assign unique numbers to the rotating items
