Configuring Microsoft Teams in Maximo IT

This section describes the System Administrator tasks to connect Maximo IT to a third party collaboration platform, Microsoft Teams. This allows Maximo IT users to share content with each other through Microsoft Teams.

Before you begin

  • Before you configure ChatOps in Maximo IT for Microsoft Teams integration, you must ensure you have created an application in Azure. Refer to Creating an application in Azure.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Maximo IT and go to Integration > ChatOps Configuration.
  2. In the MSTEAMS tab, enter Client ID, Client secret, and Tenant ID that you noted when you created the Azure application.
  3. In the Team ID, enter the unique Team ID for the 'Team' that will be used for this integration. Find the steps to fetch the value for Team ID here: Obtaining value for Team ID
  4. In the Incoming Webhook URL, enter the URL copied while configuring an incoming webhook for Microsoft Teams. For more information on setting up webhooks and fetching value for this field, see Configuring webhook in Teams application.
  5. For Webhook Secret, enter the Webhook security token saved at the time of outgoing webhook configuration. For more details on how to obtain the webhook secret value, see Configuring an outgoing webhook.
  6. In Channel field, add the name of the Microsoft Teams channel that you will be using to work with the tickets.
