Manager Approval

Manager Approval in the Self Serve enables agents and administrators to process service requests (SRs) for offerings that require managerial approval before fulfillment.

Service requests for selected offerings are routed to specific supervisors and can only be fulfilled once approval is received. This helps in easy categorization of requests that might need approval from respective supervisors while others that are pre-approved and can proceed directly to fulfillment.

On the supervisor's Self Serve dashboard, Service requests seeking approvals with be listed under the My Approvals section. This section will only show up on the supervisor dashboard and not for the Self Serve end user.

In addition to this, Manager approvals notifications are populated in the Inbox/Assignments section of the Maximo IT Start Center for quick access.

The administrator can create an offering using the Offering application and set the Workflow settings to pre-approved, default workflow or a custom workflow. Custom workflows to be used for Manager Approvals can be defined using the Workflow Administration application.
