Approvals

Manager approval introduces a feature in Self Serve for the approvals of requests before being allocated to the requestor.

Offerings (requestable items) in IBM Maximo IT can be associated with a workflow requiring approval from a supervisor before the service request for the offering is fulfilled. When an end user submits a service request for such an offering in the Self Serve application, it will go to the respective supervisor for approval before it is granted to the requestor. A default or custom workflow can be defined in Maximo IT which takes the service request through an approval process before closure. A simple workflow must be defined in Maximo IT which takes care of all the required steps.

The Manager Approval section in Self Serve will only be visible to a user with the supervisor profile and not all end users.
