Creating a mapping for actual CI data

Before you can migrate actual CI data, you must create an adapter mapping for the data you want to migrate. You can then import the appropriate mapping file into the mapping that you create.

1. Sign in to Integration Composer.
2. Select Create New Mapping.
   The New Mapping window is displayed.
3. From the Source drop-down list of available data sources, select the TADDM data source that you defined.
4. From the Target drop-down list of available data sources, select the Maximo IT data source that you defined.
5. In the Mapping Name field, type a new mapping name.
   For example, type TADDM-2-TUSC-Actual-CIs.
   Mapping names can be no longer than 255 characters and are case-sensitive (that is, Actual-CIs is not the same as actual-cis).
6. Click OK.
7. Enter the passwords for the TADDM connection and the target database when prompted.
8. Select the Import action.
   The Import Mapping dialog box is displayed.

   Note: When you select the Import action, by default, Integration Composer points to the mappings folder. If you store the .fsn file in a different location, you can use the browse features in this window to locate the file. The .fsn extension identifies Integration Composer files.
9. In the Import Mapping dialog box, select TADDMToActualCI75.fsn.
   Integration Composer populates the File name field with the selected file name.
10. Select the Save action.
11. To close the Mapping window, select the Close action.
