Creating automation script

An automation script consists of a launch point, variables with corresponding binding values, and the source code. For more details, refer Automation scripts.

To create a provision request in Manage IQ for AWS instance, the following five automation scripts are to be created:
  1. For Generating ManageIQ Authentication token
  2. To create Provision Request for the AMAZON EC2 Provider using ManageIQ
  3. To start the Instance of the AMAZON EC2 Provider using ManageIQ
  4. To stop the Instance of the AMAZON EC2 Provider using ManageIQ
  5. Cron script - To pull the status of all the Provision requests created and update the SR's
