Microsoft CoPilot
Integrating Microsoft Copilot with Maximo IT Self Serve’s chat functionality enables AI-driven support, allowing users to interact with an intelligent assistant for quick troubleshooting and ticket management.
Configuring CoPilot in Maximo IT
CoPilot can be configured with Maximo IT using the System Property application in
Maximo IT. Refer to the prerequisites below to enable the integration of CoPilot
with Maximo IT Serve Serve chat.
To integrate CoPilot with Maximo IT, you will need one of the following:
- A Microsoft Azure account with access to Microsoft Copilot API.
- CoPilot user ID
- Authentication & Security: Ensure API tokens, OAuth, or other authentication mechanisms are set up for secure access.
Set System Properties value to set AI chat - CoPilot
Follow the steps below to work with CoPilot AI integration enablement:
- Log in to Maximo IT as the administrator.
- Go to the left navigation menu and type System Properties in the search bar to open the System Properties application.
- In the Property Name search box, enter com.ibm.ism.aichatstate. Expand this property.
- Go to the Global Value field and enter ‘copilot’.
- Save the system property (Common Actions > Save Property).
- Select the checkbox for this property and click on Live Refresh (Common Actions > Live Refresh).
- On the Live Refresh window, click OK.
- Now, minimize this system property.
- Type com.ibm.ism.chatcopilot in the Property Name search box and expand this property.
- In the Global Value field, enter the user ID for CoPilot.
- Save the system property (Common Actions > Save Property).
- Select the checkbox for this property and click on Live Refresh (Common Actions > Live Refresh).
- On the Live Refresh window, click OK.
- Reload the Self serve homepage before launching the chat.
