Enabling devices for the Edge manager dashboard

Enable or disable multiple edge devices for remote monitoring on the Edge manager dashboard in Maximo® Visual Inspection.

Before you begin

You must have administrator rights to enable or disable an edge device for remote monitoring on the Edge manager dashboard in Maximo Visual Inspection.

Procedure

  1. In Maximo Visual Inspection Edge, from the side navigation menu, click Settings and then click Maximo Visual Inspection.
  2. If the Maximo Visual Inspection server connection is not configured, enter the URL and API key of the server.
  3. Enter a description for the edge device.
    This description appears in the Description column of the dashboard in Maximo Visual Inspection.
  4. To add the edge device to the dashboard, set Enable edge management to Managed.
  5. To delete an edge device from the Edge manager dashboard, set Enable edge management to Unmanaged.
    If you delete an edge device from the Edge manager dashboard, it reappears when the device sends status updates.
