Logging in to Maximo Visual Inspection

Before you begin, make sure you are using one of the supported web browsers.

There are two ways to log in to the IBM® Maximo® Visual Inspection application:

• Log in to the IBM Maximo Application Suite. Then, click the Visual Inspection card. The IBM Maximo Visual Inspection welcome page displays with information about the application and a Login button. Click Login to load the application.
• Access the application directly by using its URL. The URL is unique to your instance. For information about application URLs, see IBM Maximo Application Suite application URLs. You are first presented with the IBM Maximo Visual Inspection welcome page with information about the application and a Login button. Click the Login button to load the application. If you are not logged into IBM Maximo Application Suite, you are redirected to its login page. After you log in to IBM Maximo Application Suite, you are redirected back to the Maximo Visual Inspection application.

If you are a valid IBM Maximo Application Suite user but have not been granted access to the Maximo Visual Inspection application, a message displays to indicate that you are an “Unauthorized user”. If this message displays, contact your IBM Maximo Application Suite suite administrator.

Logging out of Maximo Visual Inspection

To log out of IBM Maximo Visual Inspection, you must log out of the IBM Maximo Application Suite. Click your user name, then click Log out. You will be redirected to the IBM Maximo Application Suite. When you log out of IBM Maximo Application Suite you will no longer be able to use IBM Maximo Visual Inspection until you authenticate again with IBM Maximo Application Suite.
