Adjusting the DSP display settings and layout

As a space planner or space manager, you can adjust the Dynamic Space Planning (DSP) display settings and layout to optimize your user experience. The configured settings will be applied to the following pages and displayed accordingly: Graphics section, Drawing Manager, Drawing Upload, DSP, and Stacking. The settings defined here determine the overall display and behavior of the DSP settings across the system.

Procedure

  1. In the Floors tab, click the Floor Id.
  2. On the horizontal toolbar, click the Settings icon.
  3. To adjust the various display settings and layout, you can take the following steps:
    1. In the Settings tab, adjust or select any settings for the background color, automatically saving changes with frequency in minutes, scaling labels, overlapping labels, opening records, canceling drag selection, sizing pins, sorting the stack plan stacks, showing the mini-map, and displaying the area in decimal places. These settings are stored in browser memory.
      • Background - Toggle to switch between the dark and light themes for the drawing.
      • Labels scale with floor plan - Select the checkbox to scale the label size based on the floor plan. When this option is unselected, the label size scales up or down when you zoom in and out the drawing.
      • Hide overlapping Labels - Select the checkbox to hide labels that overlap adjacent labels.
      • Open Record Window Location - Select the desired option on how you want to view the record.
        • Browser Tab: Displays the record in a new tab.
        • Browser pop up: Displays the record in the same tab with a pop-up window.
        • In-line: Displays the record inline.
When you click the Open Record icon from the horizontal toolbar and click any record of the drawing, the record is displayed based on the above selection.
      • Popups are translucent - Select the checkbox to display pop ups as translucent.
      • Show selection details - Enabling this checkbox displays the space details such as count, area, and its capacity in the selected space.
      • Cancel drag to select after selection - Disabling this checkbox turns off the Enable drag selection' feature in the horizontal toolbar after a selection is made.
      • Pin Size - Increase or decrease the people pin size on the space.
      • Show Minimap - The minimap helps in easier navigation on floor plans. When selected, a minimap of the drawing is displayed. The Minimap is hidden in small windows.
      • Sort Stack Plan Stacks - Enabling this checkbox sorts the stack bar in ascending order on the Stack Plans page.
    2. In the Layout tab, adjust or select any settings for the panel locations, starting a panel open or closed, resetting the default layout, or clearing the saved window positions. These settings are stored in browser memory.
  4. Click OK.
