Adding people to spaces
As a space planner or space manager, you can use Dynamic Space Planning (DSP) to add or remove the people from a space.
Procedure
- In the Floors tab, click the Floor Id.
- To see which workstations are assigned to specific people at the workplace, you can
select the following options:
- Select the People icon or arrow to expand the People sidebar.
- In the sidebar, choose either the All or Removed tab to view all or only those people who have been removed
Note: People can be assigned only to a space where Work Point is set to true.To assign an equal number of people to multiple spaces, follow these steps:
- Select the spaces that you want.
- Click the People tab, then hold Shift key and select the people that you want to assign.
- Drag and drop them onto the selected spaces.
The application automatically distributes the selected people evenly across the spaces.
- People are assigned to the selected spaces in a sequence, starting with the space they were dropped on, until each space reaches its capacity.
- When the number of people exceeds the available capacity, the remaining individuals are distributed evenly across all selected spaces.
- People who are already assigned to a space are included in the capacity calculation when the system distributes more people.
- If you hold the Shift key while you drop people onto a space, the system ignores existing assignments during the capacity calculation. This action allows for fresh distribution without considering who is already assigned.
- If people are dropped onto a space that is not part of the selection, all selected people are assigned to that single space.
- On the horizontal toolbar, use the Show/Hide People icon to toggle the visibility of people on the floor plan.
- To create a space assessment, select Tools > Create space assessment.
The building and floor are set from the Dynamic space planning (DSP) scenario. Selected spaces are included in the assessment. Specify an assignee and name, then click Create.
