Exporting the model

The plug-in appears to produce better files, and can be used without a Navisworks license. The exporter can be downloaded from: https://www.autodesk.com/products/navisworks/3d-viewers?plc=NAVSIM&term=1-YEAR&support=ADVANCED&quantity=1. The exporter is found on the Revit add-in ribbon.

There are several export options that may be useful. These are accessed from the file selection dialog after export is selected.

If you do not have a Navisworks license, you should select Convert Linked Files as this is the only way to get a single Navisworks file that contains all the models. If you do have a Navisworks license, you can gain more control by exporting each file separately and merging them in Navisworks.
