Overview

The IBM® Maximo® Real Estate and Facilities Application Platform provides integration with Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enable initialization of facilities data at building hand-over, and to support facilities management operations. There are two primary integration points for BIM data:
  • IBM Maximo Real Estate and Facilities Connector for BIM: This provides an initial population of Maximo Real Estate and Facilities facility data from Revit authored models and provides ongoing synchronization of data between Maximo Real Estate and Facilities and Revit models during operations.
  • Autodesk Platform Services Viewer: This provides in-context 3D visualization of BIM data from Maximo Real Estate and Facilities applications.

Maximo Real Estate and Facilities Connector for BIM

The Maximo Real Estate and Facilities Connector for BIM creates Maximo Real Estate and Facilities building, floor, spaces, and asset records from Revit models, including linked models. It synchronizes key attributes over the life of the building. It can publish floor plans for use in the Maximo Real Estate and Facilities floor plan viewer.

APS Viewer

The APS Viewer is integrated into the Locate and Work Task applications providing in-context 3D visualization of spaces and asset, access to model properties, and model markup.

BIM Model Management

All interactions with Autodesk Platform Services to manage the models used by the APS Viewer can be performed from within Maximo Real Estate and Facilities using an intuitive graphic interface.
