Configuring Esri

Esri ArcGIS Indoors is required to enable IBM Maximo® Real Estate and Facilities Indoor Maps. It consists of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise. ArcGIS Pro generates and prepares your GIS maps. ArcGIS Enterprise is the server that hosts the maps and wayfinding capabilities.

Before you begin

You must obtain valid licenses for the Esri components and follow the Esri documentation to complete the installation.

The Maximo Real Estate and Facilities Indoor Maps solution requires the following components of particular versions to be present in your solution to operate. For information on supported versions, see Compatibility Matrix for Maximo Real Estate and Facilities.

  • Maximo Real Estate and Facilities with Facility Manager
  • IBM® Maximo Real Estate and Facilities CAD Integrator/Publisher or BIM Integrator
  • Esri ArcGIS Pro with ArcGIS Indoors for Pro extension, or ArcGIS Pro with ArcGIS Pro Indoors Product Data.
  • Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Advanced
  • Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Advanced with TLS enabled.
  • Polylined and updated CAD or BIM floor plans synced with Maximo Real Estate and Facilities with facility and space management module through Maximo Real Estate and Facilities CAD Integrator/Publisher or BIM Integrator.
  • Secured network connectivity between the Maximo Real Estate and Facilities server and the Esri installation.
Note: Customers that want to implement indoor maps must implement and connect to their own Esri software and servers.
