Setting the space class

In this step, you assign space classes to all attached and linked spaces.

Note: Every space must have a valid space class assigned for this step to be considered complete and for the Next button to become active.

Space class list

The space class list presents a hierarchical view of all available space classes. Each entry displays the space class name along with the color defined in its server-side configuration. Only one space class can be selected at a time.

  • Assign: This option becomes active when both a space class and at least one space are selected. The selected space class is applied to all selected spaces, and the space selection is then cleared.

  • Copy Existing: Enabled when at least one selected space is linked to an existing space. For each selected and linked space, the space class from the existing space is copied to the proposed space.
Note: This may overwrite any space class set in the uploaded drawing.
  • Drag and Drop: Space classes can be dragged from the list and dropped onto the floor plan. Dropping onto a specific space assigns that class to the space. If the space is currently selected, the class is applied to all selected spaces.

Floor plan

The floor plan displays all configured spaces, with each space color-coded according to its assigned space class. Spaces without an assigned space class display in white or black, depending on the current theme. You can select multiple spaces by clicking individually or using the drag-select tool. Selecting a space on the floor plan will also highlight it in the Space List.
Note: If a space’s border is highlighted, it indicates that the space is assigned a class name that does not exist in the server’s current list of space classes. The space border is marked in red if the name is duplicated, and in blue without any errors.

Space list

The Space list presents all configured spaces in a hierarchical format, displaying both spaces and their subspaces. It serves as an alternative way to locate and select spaces outside of the floor plan. Each entry includes:

  • The space name

  • A link icon if the proposed space is connected to an existing space

  • The assigned space class name, if applicable

    • If the space class is not found on the server, the name is displayed in red

    • If the space class matches a server entry, its associated color is shown (matching the color used on the floor plan)

The list supports multi-selection. Any space selected in the list will also be selected on the floor plan.
  • The search function matches against space names and space class names. A filter option allows you to narrow results by either name or class

Selection menu

The selection menu located to the right of the search bar in the space class list provides quick options for selecting groups of spaces. Spaces selected through this menu are highlighted in both the floor plan and the space list.

  1. Select All: Selects all configured spaces.

  2. Select Unset: Selects all spaces that do not have a space class assigned.

  3. Select Errors: Selects all spaces with a space class value that does not exist in the server’s space class list.

  4. Select Existing: Selects all the existing spaces that are previously uploaded.
