Configuring the device

Before you begin

  • You must have a touch screen device that is mounted outside of the meeting room.
  • The device must have network access to Maximo® Real Estate and Facilities.
  • You must have a web browser that supports Maximo Real Estate and Facilities Perceptive apps. For a full list of supported browsers, see Compatibility Matrix for Maximo Real Estate and Facilities.

About this task

The Maximo Real Estate and Facilities Reserve Room Panel Perceptive app is designed to run on touch screen tablets or dedicated devices that support common modern web browsers. This task explains the procedure to reserve a room using the device.

Procedure

  1. Open the browser on the device and go to the URL for the Room Panel app: https://<workspace_id>.facilities.<mas_domain>/p/web/roomPanel.
  2. Log in with the dedicated user credentials that correspond to the room where the Room Panel device is installed.
  3. Validate that the room name and calendar are properly displayed on the room panel, and that you can reserve a room from the meeting room panel.
    Note: It is only possible to reserve a room for the same day from the room panel. If you wish to reserve the room for a future date, then you must use the main Reserve app or your Outlook calendar.
  4. Click Check In to check in to the room. Other users can reserve the room for later in the day.
    When the meeting starts the panel will reflect that there is a meeting in progress, but you can still reserve the room for later in the day. You can end the meeting at any time to release the room.
