Adding devices

You can add devices directly in Maximo® Monitor, through an integration, or by using APIs. Sensors must be installed for your devices. A single sensor might collect data about several conditions of each device, for example, temperature and pressure.

You can add devices by completing any of the following actions:

You can add devices directly in the Maximo Monitor. You can add devices from the device library or add custom devices.

If your device data is sourced from a historian, after the connector for the historian is installed and configured, devices are automatically added to Maximo Monitor.
