Creating dashboards

You can create private or public dashboards for customized views of KPIs, favorites, quick actions, and work queues.

About this task

By default, the Maintenance Manager tab on the Operational dashboard displays cards. Use the Overflow menu to create and manage customized dashboards.

Procedure

  1. On the Operational dashboard, on the Maintenance Manager tab, click the Overflow menu and then click Create dashboard.
  2. In the Create dashboard dialog, specify a name for the new dashboard.
  3. Optional: To display the new dashboard as the first tab on the Operational dashboard, select the Default checkbox.
    Note: If you select a dashboard as the default dashboard, you cannot edit and remove it from the default position. You can designate only a new dashboard as the default dashboard.
  4. Optional: If you want other users in a particular security group to be able to view the new dashboard, select the Public checkbox.
    Give access to dashboards in the Security Groups application. For more information, see Granting access to Operational Dashboard.
  5. Click Save.

What to do next

  • On the new dashboard, click the Edit icon to add cards. For more information, see Adding cards.
  • From the overflow menu, click Manage dashboards to edit dashboards and manage viewing options.
