Setting meter values on a preventive maintenance record based on the reading at the last work order

Set a meter value from the last work order on a preventive maintenance (PM) record when you create a PM for an asset that has a meter history.

About this task

If you know the meter history for the asset, you can schedule future preventive maintenance work accordingly. If you do not know the meter history for the asset, you can create a starting point from which to schedule the next work order. Changing a meter value on the PM does not change the meter value on the asset record.

Procedure

  1. In the Preventive Maintenance application, select the appropriate PM record.
  2. Select the Set Reading at Last WO action.
  3. In the New Reading field, specify a value.
  4. Click OK to set the new meter value on the PM.

Results

The PM record reflects the new meter reading on the Frequency tab.
