Viewing nested item assembly structures

You can change the Current Level item and traverse up and down the hierarchy, viewing item assembly structures that are nested within other item assembly structures. The Children window shows the item assembly structures for the item listed as the current item.

Before you begin

The Move To action does not work unless an item has an item assembly structure associated with it.

Procedure

  1. From the List tab of the Item Master application, display the item record for which you want to view nested item assembly structures.
  2. From the Item Assembly Structure tab, click View Details to expand the row.
  3. In the Item field, click Detail Menu and select Move To. The item moves to the Current Level field, and the children display in the table.
  4. The Belongs To field indicates the item to which the current item belongs. To move back up the hierarchy, click Detail Menu in the Belongs To field, and select Move To. The parent moves up to the Current Item field, and its children display in the table.
