Working with storerooms
You can add and delete storerooms as a means of tracking
where your inventory is stored and from where it is issued. You can
issue items internally from the default storeroom, and change the
lead time calculations to analyze vendors and determine when to reorder
items.
Adding storeroom locations
Storeroom locations are the names of your inventory storerooms, the places inventory items are stored in and issued from. You use the Storerooms application to add new storeroom locations.
Deleting storeroom locations
To manage the storerooms that you created, you use the Storerooms application to delete a storeroom location.
Changing lead time calculations for storerooms
Lead time is the time between when an item is ordered and received. To analyze vendors and determine when to reorder items, you can change how lead times are calculated.
Specifying storerooms on purchase orders and purchase requisitions
You use the Storerooms application to specify whether you want a storeroom to internally supply and reserve inventory items for use with internal purchase requisitions and internal purchase orders.
