Creating automation scripts

You can create automation scripts to automate routine tasks. You can use the Automation Scripts application to create scripts and launch points with associated variables and bindings.

Procedure

  1. In the Automation Scripts application, click Create and then select the type of script and launch point that you want to create.
  2. Enter the required information and any optional information that you want to include.
  3. For Script, select New. If you add a new script, you can write it in the Automation Scripts application, or you can import a script. Click Next.
  4. Create the launch point and then associate variables and bindings with the launch point. If you are importing a script, import it in this step. Click Next.
  5. If you are entering a script in the Automation Scripts application, enter it in this step. Click Create to save the launch point, variables, and script code.
