Quick reporting overview
As work progresses on your work orders, you can change
the status, report actuals, and enter failure information. You can
also view costs and create relationships between records.
Costs on tickets and work orders
You can view the estimated and actual costs for a single work order or ticket, including costs for labor, material, tools, and services. You can also view total costs for the current record and all the records within its hierarchy.
Work order statuses
The status of a work order indicates its position in the processing cycle. The status determines which actions can be performed on the work order. For example, if the work order is approved, it has a status of APPR and the tasks can begin.
Record relationships
Relationships between records, such as tickets and work orders, help simplify record management. You can create record relationships manually, or relationships might be created automatically when you take certain actions.
Preventive maintenance alert information
The PM Alert message is a system-generated message that notifies you of pending preventive maintenance work when an asset is being repaired or a work order is generated against a location.
Rules for deleting work orders
You use the Quick Reporting application to delete a work order under specific conditions. When you delete a work order, you can elect whether to delete the associated child work orders.
