Job plans on master preventive maintenance

A job plan is a detailed description of work that you perform on an asset. You associate a job plan with a master PM to create work plans.

When a master preventive maintenance (PM) record has a job plan associated with it, the job plan becomes a work plan on any work order the system generates from the associated PMs. The work order contains tasks for each operation in the work plan. You can modify the tasks on a work order without affecting the original job plan.

You can assign one or more job plans to a master PM. If you assign more than one job plan, you must specify how often that plan is used by assigning a sequence number to it.

If a job plan has a default safety plan when used with the selected work asset, the system copies the safety plan to the work order.
