Assigning multiple job plans to preventive maintenance records
You can assign multiple job plan to a preventive maintenance (PM) record so that the job plans become a work plan on any work order you generate from the PM. When you assign multiple job plans, assign sequence numbers to the job plans to specify how often the PM uses each plan.
About this task
If a job plan has a default safety plan when used with the selected work asset, the safety plan is copied to the work order.
If the PM is associated with a master PM, updates to the master PM record overwrite changes you made to the job plan data on the PM. If you want to prevent updates by the master PM, select the Override Updates from Master PM check box on the PM tab.
Procedure
- In the Preventive Maintenance application, display the PM record that you want to assign job plans to.
- On the Job Plan Sequence tab, click New Row.
- In the Job Plan field, specify a value.
- In the Sequence field, specify a number.
- Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each job plan that you want to add to the PM.
- View the job plan sequence to check that it provides the sequence that you want.
- Click Save PM.
