Activating and deactivating scripts
In the Automation Scripts application, scripts can be activated or deactivated on the main page and within a script on the Launch Point tab.
About this task
The deactivation from the main script deactivates the script for all launch points of that script. Deactivating from launch point deactivates only that particular launch point. All other active launch points continue working as usual.
IBM® Maximo® Manage does not start a deactivated script. For example, if an attribute launch point is deactivated, the script for that launch point is not invoked if the value of that MBO attribute changes. Activating and deactivating scripts is a useful tool for debugging issues so you can test the application without customization. The value of the autoscript status attribute has no significance on whether the scripting framework does or does not start the script.
