Safety plans

In the Work Order Tracking application, you can associate a safety plan with a work order. Safety plans help ensure that the work is performed safely. Until the work order is approved, you can remove or change the associated safety plan.

A work order can have only one associated safety plan. If a work order already has an associated safety plan, you must first remove the existing safety plan before associating a new one. When you change the safety plan information in a work order, the original safety plan in the Safety Plans application remains unchanged.

A safety plan can be automatically associated with a work order in the following cases:

  • A job plan is added to a work order.
  • A work order is generated by a condition monitoring or preventive maintenance record that has an associated job plan.

When the work order is in the status specified in the Organizations application, you cannot change the associated safety plan.
