Work record approval

When work records, such as work orders, changes, and releases, have a status of Waiting on Approval, you can change the status to Approved.

Keep in mind the following system behavior that pertains to work record approval:

• When you approve a work record, the system reserves the work plan items in Inventory and records cost and rate data. If rates change in Inventory, Labor, or Tools, the work plan reflects the rates in effect when the change was approved.
• An approved record cannot be deleted.
• When you approve a work record, the tasks on the record are also approved.
• If you approve a work record that has child work orders with their Inherit Status Changes check box selected, the applicable child work orders are also approved.
• You can change the status of multiple work orders at the same time using the Select Records checkbox on the List tab to select the records, or you can change the status of a displayed record.
