Meter information for job plans

You can use a meter name on a job plan task. The meter name is a generic name for a measurement point number.

When you use a job plan to build a work plan for an asset or location that is on a work order, the database searches for a three way match between the following items:

• The meter name on the asset or location
• The meter name on the job plan task that is used to build the work plan task
• The measurement point number for the meter name

If there is a match, the measurement point number is added to the work plan task. If there is matching meter information for the asset or location and the job plan used on a work order, the measurement point number is automatically added to a task of a work order record.
