Deletion of company records
You can delete a company record in the Companies application.
The following rules apply to the deletion of company records:
- Company records that have been referenced in other applications (such as Purchase Orders, Invoices, and Contracts) might not be deleted.
- Company records that have associated branch records might not be deleted. To delete a company record with associated branch records, you must first sever all the branch associations with that company record.
By deleting a branch from a company record, you are removing the association of the branch with the company record. The branches that you delete remain in the database.
