Removing relationships between records

You can remove the relationship between a work order and its related work orders or tickets.

Before you begin

You can remove the relationship between records only if the ticket or the work order has a type of RELATED.

About this task

To delete relationships with work orders that have other relationship types, such as FOLLOWUP or ORIGINATOR, you must delete the work order.

To delete relationships with tickets that have other relationship types, you must go to the ticket applications.

on the Related Records tab in the Work Order Tracking application.

Procedure

  1. In the Work Order Tracking application, select the work order with the related relationship that you want to delete.
  2. On the Related Records tab, select the record in the Related Work Orders table window.
  3. Click the Mark Row for Delete icon. You can mark more than one row.
  4. Save the record.
