Creating work plans for work orders

You can create a work plan for a work order. A work plan describes the labor, materials, tools, services, and tasks that are needed to complete a work order.

Procedure

  1. In the Work Order Tracking application, select the work order for which you want to create a work plan.
  2. On the Plans tab, provide the following information:
    Option Description
    Work plan task information In the Tasks for Work Order table window, add work plan information.
    Labor information On the Labor subtab, select existing labor or add labor.
    Planned materials information On the Materials subtab, provide information for planned materials or items for the work order.
    Services information On the Services subtab, select standard services or add services.
    Tools information On the Tools subtab, select tools or add tools.
  3. Save the work plan.
