Changing the time zone from a mobile device

In Maximo Mobile v9.1, users can set a time zone from their mobile device.

Before you begin

Use the Mobile administration app to enable the Display time zone menu property by selecting the Show time zone settings option.

About this task

Each Maximo Mobile user is assigned a default time zone to collect accurate timestamped data from the field. Sometimes, a user might cross multiple time zones to complete a single work item across locations which might not have reliable data communications for several days at a time. The time zone of the mobile device is used in place of the time zone associated with the user's profile on the server.

Procedure

  1. Open the Settings menu and then select Time zone.
  2. Select the option to set the time zone to match the setting of the mobile device.
  3. Click OK to reload the app to reflect the update.
