Transferring rotating items

Transfer rotating assets between inventory locations to update asset records and ensure accurate tracking of movable equipment.

About this task

A rotating item that has a storeroom and balance represents the balance of a group of serialized, rotating assets. You can transfer the items to another storeroom.

Procedure

  1. On the Storerooms page, select the storeroom and then select the rotating item.
  2. From the Actions menu on the row, select Transfer to open the Transfer to storeroom dialog box.
  3. Enter information about the transfer. In the Rotating asset list, select one or more assets.
    The quantity of rotating assets that you select must match the quantity of items that you specify for the transfer.
  4. Transfer the items.
