Recording an e-signature key during onboarding

During onboarding, record an e-signature key from a web browser or mobile device to be used to confirm that an attribute change is complete and valid.

Procedure

  1. As a new user, log in to Maximo® Mobile on a mobile device.
  2. When prompted, set a new e-signature key.
    1. Enter your user ID.
    2. Enter and verify a new e-signature key.
      E-signature keys must include at least one uppercase character, one lowercase character, a number, and a special character, such as !, @ #, or $.
      Alternatively, if an e-signature key has already been created for you on the server, enter that key when prompted.
    3. Tap Save.
    If you cancel or close the e-signature key prompt page, you cannot perform tasks that are validated with e-signature keys. To display the e-signature prompt page again, you can either log out and then log back in, or you can refresh data on your device. If you are not prompted for an e-signature key, check the Maximo Mobile setting page and ensure that the e-signature option is enabled.
