Recording an e-signature key to confirm attribute changes

Record an e-signature key from a web browser or mobile device to be used to confirm that an attribute change is complete and valid.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have configured an attribute and an e-signature action to prompt for an e-signature when the record is modified. For more information, see Adding electronic signature requirements to objects and attributes.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Maximo® Mobile.
  2. Select a record, for example, a work order, and change its status.
    If the status attribute for the work order is configured to require an e-signature on status change, you are prompted for the e-signature key.
    1. Enter the e-signature key and provide a summary of the change.
    2. Tap Save.
  3. Perform the following API call to refresh the master schema: 
    maximo/oslc/graphite/mobile/schema?regenerate=1

Results

The work order status is updated.

If you did not previously set an e-signature value during onboarding, or if you cancel when prompted for the e-signature, the change is not performed.
