Granting access to Operational Dashboard

As an administrator, you must provide access to the Operational Dashboard to users before they can view and use it from the navigation menu in Maximo® Manage.

Before you begin

Use an existing security group or create a security group and add the users to whom you want to give access to the Operational Dashboard, to the security group. For more information about creating a security group, see Creating security groups.

Procedure

  1. In the Security Groups application, search for the security group you created for giving access to the Operational Dashboard.
  2. Select the security group from the search results.
  3. In the Applications tab, under Applications section, click the Open filter icon.
  4. Type Operational Dashboard in the Description field.
  5. In the Options for Operational Dashboard section, select Actions > Add/Modify Signature Options.
  6. In the Add/Modify Signature Options dialog, click the New row icon to add a signature option or use an existing signature option.

    Create private dashboard
    • User can create, edit, duplicate, view, and delete a private dashboard
    Create public dashboard
    • User can create, edit, duplicate, view, and delete a public dashboard
    Hide public dashboard
    • User can hide public dashboards
    Read public dashboard
    • User can view public dashboards created by other users
    • User cannot view private dashboards created by other users
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click the Save icon to save your changes.
