Adding object formulas

Create an object formula in the Formulas application in Maximo® Manage to set or validate field values based on mathematical expressions and calculations.

1. From the side navigation menu, click System configuration > Formulas.
2. On the Object formulas tab, click Create formula.
3. In the Add object formula dialog, add the formula.
   1. In the Object name field, specify the Maximo business object.
   2. In the Formula name field, enter a name for the object formula.
   3. Optional: Specify a description for the formula.
   4. Optional: Specify a formula expression.
   5. Click Create.
      The object formula is created and is listed on the Object formulas tab.
