Adding conditions to inspection form responses

You can add conditions to the response fields of existing questions on inspection forms to gather more information. You can determine which additional response fields appear to inspectors, depending on the answers they gave to inspection form questions.

About this task

Conditions can only be added to responses on existing form questions that are defined as single choice response or characteristic meter readings. The inspection form must be in Draft or Pending Revision status.

1. In the Inspection Forms application, in the Inspection Form Library, click the More Actions menu for the inspection form that you want to add conditions to.
2. Select Revision History from the More Actions menu.
3. On the Revision History page, select Conditions from the More Actions menu.
4. In the Groups and Questions column, select the question whose response you want to add a condition to. Click Add Condition.
5. Select the response that you want to add a condition to, and then select the response field that you want managed by the condition. Click OK.
6. Define whether the selected response field is visible. If you want the response field to be hidden from inspectors, turn off the Visible toggle.
7. Define whether the selected response field is required. Click OK.
8. Click Save.
