Overview

By using the integration between IBM® Maximo® Manage and IBM Digital Twin Exchange, you can import digital data directly from Digital Twin Exchange into your Manage database to ensure that you can access the latest information that manufacturers provide about the equipment that you own.

Digital Twin Exchange is a source of digital data that is provided by manufacturers. After a manufacturer loads digital data for a piece of equipment into Digital Twin Exchange, a Manage customer who buys that equipment and its digital data can use this integration to import the latest and most accurate digital data for the equipment into their Manage database.

In Maximo Manage, you import digital data by using the Assets application. You connect to the digital data source, preview the products that you are entitled to import, and decide whether you want to import them. When you import digital data, asset-related items, such as assets, spare parts, and job plans are automatically created in the Manage database.

This integration between Maximo Manage and Digital Twin Exchange is unidirectional.
