Associating assets with warranty contracts

You associate specific assets with a warranty so that the assets inherit all coverage that is specified on the warranty contract.

Before you begin

To associate assets with a contract, the contract must be approved.

1. In the Warranty Contracts application, select the contract with which you want to associate assets.
2. Click the Associated Assets tab.
3. Click Select More Assets.
4. In the Select Assets window, select the assets that you want to associate with the contract.
5. Click OK.
6. For each asset that you selected, complete the following steps:
   1. In the Assets/Locations table window, select the asset.
   2. In the Contract Lines table window, specify a start date.
   3. Optional: In the Meters table window, update the meter information.
7. Save your changes.
