Configuring actions for inspections

By using automation scripts, system administrators can define custom actions that are available to inspectors and inspector supervisors when they complete an inspection.

Procedure

  1. In the Automation Scripts application, from the More Actions menu, select Create, then select Script for Integration.
  2. In the Create Script for Integration window, in the Object Structure field, type MXAPIINSPECTIONRES
  3. Select the Action Processing radio button. In the Action Name field, enter a name for your script.
  4. In the Script Details section, enter a description for your script.
  5. In the Source Code field, enter the source code for your script.
  6. Click Create.
    The action is now available to associate with inspection forms in the Inspection Forms application.
  7. Optional: Enable security for the action in the Object Structures application.
    1. In the Object Structures application, open the MXAPIINSPRESULT record.
    2. From the More Actions menu, select the security option that you want to apply.
