Specifying the generation of work orders before their due dates
Lead time is an amount of time that is added to the system date when determining if an associated preventive maintenance (PM) record will generate a work order. When you specify lead time on a master PM record, work orders from the associated PMs are generated in advance of their next due dates.
Procedure
- In the Master PM application, display the master PM record that you want to apply lead time to.
- On the Master PM tab, select the Lead Time Active check box.
- Enter a time value (in days) in the Lead Time (Days) field.
- Save the record.
