Dispatching dashboard
You can add your schedules to the Dispatching dashboard and then promptly see key information about your schedules on the dashboard. You can also open a schedule to see further schedule information and make changes.
The Dispatching dashboard depends on optimization models from IBM® Maximo® Optimizer. To use the optimization models with the dashboard, Maximo Optimizer must be purchased and installed. The Dispatching dashboard uses the optimization models for graphical assignment. For more information, see Optimizing schedules.
The dashboard uses the several types of cards to display key information for schedules, which includes information about assignments, resources, emergencies, and utilization.
Schedules card
On the Schedules card, you can complete the following actions.
- Click Add schedules to add the schedules that you want to see and manage on the dashboard. For more information about adding schedules, see Adding schedules to the Dispatching dashboard
- See the following performance indicators for each schedule.
- Optimization status
- Assignment issues
- Emergencies
- Resource utilization
- Start and end dates
- Click any schedule to open the schedule and on the schedule page get more details about that
schedule in the following types of tabs.
- Graphical view tab. See a visual timeline representation of the resources, their work, and areas that require attention. The dispatcher monitors the view and can optimize the schedules. For more information, see Optimizing schedules
- Emergency work tab. See assigned and unassigned emergency work records. Progress the emergencies. For more information about progressing emergency work, see Assigning emergency work in the dashboard.
- Assignment issues tab. See work records with issues, then review and fix the issues. You can optimize the schedules. For more information, see Optimizing schedules
Key performance indicator cards
On the key performance indicator cards, you can see key performance information for your listed
schedules. This information can include the number of assigned work orders, number of resources, and
percentage of resource time that is assigned work. The following types of key performance indicator
cards are displayed on the Dispatching dashboard.
- Assignments
- The total number of assigned work records that are included in all schedules on the dashboard.
- Total resources
- The total number of labor resources and crew resources that are included in all schedules on the dashboard.
- Emergencies
- The number of unassigned emergency work records in all schedules on the dashboard.
- Resource utilization
- The percentage of resource time that is assigned to work. This percentage is the total utilization rate for all resource time in all schedules that are included on the dashboard.
