Associating services with assets

You can associate one or more services with an asset. Examples of services are e-mail support, telecommunications, customer support, and PC support. If a service changes, you can identify affected assets.

Procedure

  1. From the Assets application, display the asset with which you want to associate a service or service group.
  2. Select the Associate Services action.
  3. In the Associate Services window, click New Row.
  4. In the Service Group field, type a value.
  5. To select a service within the service group, specify a value in the Service field. If you do not select a service group and you select a service that is associated with a service group, the service group displays in the Service Group field.
  6. Click OK.
