Asset import guidelines
The CSV template file that you download from the Manage Assets Work Center includes eight columns. You must provide a value for ASSETNUM. All other columns either contain a default value or are optional.

system. Import or add all your locations first, then import assets. |
| PARENT | The unique identifier of the parent asset. | Uppercase alphanumeric | 12 | When importing assets, import parent assets first. Then import child assets and specify the unique identifier of a parent asset in this field. |
| STATUS | The status of the asset. | Uppercase alphanumeric | Values for asset status include OPERATING, NOT
READY, and DECOMMISSIONED. If no status is specified, the default status OPERATING, which is displayed as Active in the Work Center, is applied to the asset. |

| SITEID | The unique identifier of the site for the asset. | Uppercase alphanumeric | 8 | You must create at least one site for an organization. Sites are facilities or subdivisions in an organization where work and supply chain activities are managed. Each site can track inventory and related data separately from other sites. Sites do not have to be physical locations. If you want to load assets for a site that is not your default site, you must supply a site ID. |
