Enabling communication templates for appointments

Communication templates are available for you to use when scheduling and rescheduling appointments in the Graphical Appointment Book application.

About this task

Email and SMS notifications can be sent to customers to inform them of upcoming appointments and relevant updates. The notifications must be enabled in the Communication Templates and Escalations applications.

Procedure

  1. In the Communication Templates application, search for "appointment" in the Description field of the List tab.
    The following results are returned:
    • APPTTECHEST
    • APPTNEW
    • APPTRESCHED
    • APPTCANCEL
  2. For each communication template that you want to enable, change the status to ACTIVE.
  3. Save the records.
  4. In the Escalations application, search for "appointment" in the Description field of the List tab and then open the APPTTECHEST record.
  5. From the Actions menu, select Activate/Deactivate Escalations.
  6. Save the record.
